About Trial Attorney Tom Bosworth
Tom Bosworth is one of the most accomplished civil trial lawyers in the country, with a proven history of record-breaking verdicts and settlements. At just 33 years old, Tom was lead trial counsel in Pennsylvania’s largest medical malpractice jury verdict of that year, making him the youngest lawyer in the history of Pennsylvania to win a jury verdict greater than $10 million for a living client. In that case, the jury awarded over $19 million to a middle-aged woman whose primary care doctor failed to timely diagnose a rare malformation in her spine.
Since founding his own firm just over 3 years ago, Tom has won over $123 million in verdicts and settlements, including:
- The #1 largest reported wrongful death verdict in Pennsylvania in 2024-2025 ($15 million)
- A $25 million settlement against a utility company involving a child’s death
- A $25 million settlement in a commercial vehicle crash case
- An $18 million medical malpractice settlement
- A multi-million-dollar jury verdict for a midwife’s improper posting of child’s photos on social media
Tom is an Executive Member of the National Trial Lawyers’ associations’ Top 40 Under 40 group and was previously designated a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Pennsylvania, which is a designation reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys who have been practicing in Pennsylvania who are under the age of 40.
Tom’s trial work is deeply personal to him. He began his journey to becoming a lawyer that holds big companies and wrongdoers responsible after his own grandmother’s life was cut short due to a hospital’s negligence. Being a trial lawyer isn’t just a job to him.
Tom attended Temple University Beasley School of Law from where he graduated in 2016 with magna cum laude and Order of the Coif distinction. During law school, Tom participated as a member of Temple’s nationally ranked Trial Team and served on the Editorial Board of the Temple Law Review. Immediately following law school, Tom served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence F. Stengel in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
